N-Flux SABER

Light-Based Saber Combat. Martial Logic.
Mythic Reality.

Real Skills. Functional Immersion.

How do we differ from other saber leagues? It comes down to how we treat the physics of the weapon.

Speed-Tag Formats

Treats the weapon like a featherweight laser-pointer where any light touch scores. Because only speed matters, the optimal way to win is through shallow, rapid wrist-flicking. It’s highly athletic, but sacrifices the heavy intent of a true duel.

Classical Adaptations

Forces the weapon into the highly complex "right-of-way" rules of traditional fencing. It relies on constant referee interruptions to judge who attacked first, breaking the flow and ignoring the raw, continuous nature of a real fight.

N-Flux Saber Mechanics

We treat the weapon as it exists in the lore: a weightless blade that requires momentum to cut. By enforcing simple physics instead of complicated rulebooks, the sweeping, mythic strikes you want to see emerge naturally from the fight.

We Design Games, Not Drills.

We believe in simple rules and clear goals. Instead of memorizing complicated right-of-way rules or practicing choreographed steps in the air, you learn through live, representative games.

The physical constraints of the weapon and the arena naturally teach your body how to survive, move, and fight. You won't just learn how to act like a cinematic warrior; the environment will forge you into one.

  • No scripted routines.
  • No constant referee interruptions.
  • Live-weight sabers with real timing and pressure.

Your Path to Mastery

The curriculum is deep, but the progression is clear. Explore the forms, ranks, and permissions that build your fighting identity.

The Core Forms (Foundations)

Every practitioner begins their journey by building their mechanical engine through the three Core Forms, practiced in sequence.

Form I: Kinetic Integrity
Focus: Structural mechanics and moving as a solid unit.
The Constraint: Total Arming. Every single attack must be fully chambered behind your center axis. No direct thrusts or jabs are allowed.
Form II: Vector Alignment
Focus: Precision, linear mechanics, and maximum structural reach.
The Rule Change: Direct Thrusts Unlocked. You operate under Strict Initiative, replacing sweeping volume with direct, linear stabs from a static guard.
Form III: The Spring
Focus: Absorbing heavy force and redirecting it instantly.
The Rule Change: The Riposte Unlocked. You are now permitted to launch immediate, explosive counter-attacks the moment you successfully parry an incoming strike.
Tactical Specializations (Integration)

Once you pass the Core Forms, the path opens up. You can choose non-sequential specializations to build your unique fighting style.

Form IV: Momentum Stacking
Focus: Dynamic, continuous movement and acrobatic energy chaining.
The Constraint: Motion Requirement. Your hits only score if your feet are off the ground or if you are in rapid, continuous motion.
Form V: The Tight Sphere
Focus: Impenetrable defense and minimal energy expenditure.
The Constraint: Defense Only. You are strictly forbidden from initiating an attack. You may only strike immediately after a successful parry, keeping all blade movements within a 1-foot bubble of your body.
Form VI: Bimodal Coordination
Focus: Asymmetric combat and doing two different things with two different hands.
The Constraint: Secondary Tool Mandatory. You must fight while actively integrating an off-hand tool, such as a short saber, a buckler, or live-hand grappling frames.
Rank & Advancement

Advancement at N-Flux is not based on time alone. To move up in rank, students must pass "The Three Gates": meeting minimum training hours, earning a peer vote of confidence, and receiving instructor approval.

  • Novice (White, Yellow, Orange): Learning fundamentals; requires supervision for sparring.
  • Knight (Green, Blue, Purple): Competent duelist; spars independently and explores specializations.
  • Mentor (Brown): Experienced practitioner who actively develops others.
  • Master (Black): Certified instructor and curriculum authority. Requires 1,000+ total hours.
The Physicality Permission System

Grappling isn't forced on anyone. Physical contact is a parallel track that is unlocked safely and gradually based on your individual readiness, not your belt rank. Permissions scale up step-by-step:

  • Level 1: Blade contact only.
  • Level 2: Hand checks and frames against the opponent's arms/torso.
  • Level 3: Momentary clinches and foot sweeps.
  • Level 4: Full grappling, takedowns, and submissions.
